How do friends join my game?
Tap Host a game. Friends with the app tap Join a game and enter the 4-letter code. Friends without the app scan the QR code or open thatsmyjam.pplx.app on any phone. Everyone plays in the same room.
Do I need Apple Music?
Only the host does. The device that plays the music needs an Apple Music subscription, because the game plays full songs. Tap Connect Apple Music and choose Allow. Friends who join on their own phones don't need a subscription.
Do players need Apple Music?
No. Only the device that plays the music needs it. Everyone else can search and pick songs for free.
My phone locked during the game. Did I lose my spot?
No. Reopen the app and it rejoins your seat automatically. On the website, rejoin with the same code and the same name.
How does scoring work?
Each vote your song gets is worth 1 point. Guessing who picked a song correctly earns 1 bonus point. You can't vote for your own song or guess yourself.
Can I play on a TV?
Yes. Open thatsmyjam.pplx.app on a laptop or smart TV browser connected to the TV, host from there, and switch on the big-screen view. Players join from their phones.
Songs move on before I'm ready.
The host or DJ can tap Hold during the countdown, turn auto-play off, or change the song length to whole song, 1 minute, 90 seconds, or 2 minutes.
